Call to Worship

Leader: Come, all you saints!
People: We come to worship the Lord!
Leader: We gather to share community, to share God’s Word, to share a meal.
People: Let us join God’s beloved children in every time and place and celebrate together!
Leader: The Lord be with you!
People: [Respond with indicated gesture:] And also with you!
Leader: Let us worship the Lord.

Call to Confession

Leader: We come before God, our spirits as sick as Naaman’s skin. We seek to bathe in the waters of God’s mercies, trusting that they will wash our souls clean again. Let us confess our sins

Unison Prayer of Confession
People: Eternal God, all too often, we would rather climb the tallest mountain or descend into the deepest valley than follow your simple instructions. All too often, we ignore the quiet voices that you send to guide us. All too often, we fall into despair, thinking that your plans for us are impossible. Forgive us our hubris and faithlessness. Help us to see the possibilities that you create around us every day, and empower us to speak up in our turn so that all we meet might come to know of your goodness and compassion as we do. In your mercy, hear our prayer…

Declaration of Forgiveness

Leader: Just as Naaman was healed by the waters of the Jordan, we, too, are healed by God’s grace. Hear the Good News: in Jesus Christ, we are all forgiven. Thanks be to God.
