Leader: Who do the crowds say that Jesus is?
People: Some say “John the Baptist”; others say “Elijah”.
Leader: And who do YOU say that he is?
People: He is the Christ, the Anointed One, the Messiah.
Leader: This one is worthy of worship.
People: Therefore, let us worship the Lord.

Leader: Nothing is hidden that won’t be exposed. So in faith, let us bring our sins to the light and conceal nothing from the one who has the power to forgive.

People: Lord of the Great Harvest, you sow your Word among us generously, and yet we do not receive it. We abandon it when an easier message comes along. We make our hearts stone into which it cannot put down roots. We allow it to become choked by the thorny weeds of our worries and the temptations of this world. Forgive us, O Holy One.
